Climate Change

In Montemarciano we will talk about climate change with the INGV climatologist Sergio Castellari and Dr. Paolo Sandroni of Marche Civil Protection.

A meeting organized by the Municipality of Montemarciano, University for Peace and Out-of-Town Group as part of the “If you want peace, prepare for peace 2018”.

The appointment is for Friday, June 1 at 21.00 at the Social Center of Marina di Montemarciano (Via Roma, 34) with Dr. Sergio Castellari, climatologist of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), currently a National Expert at the European Environment Agency (EEA) in Copenhagen, which will help us to understand the latest report of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) showing what are the solutions to achieve zero emissions by 2100.

Following Dr. Paolo Sandroni, official of the Functional Center of the Marche Region, will inform the participants on the procedures for alerting the regional Civil Protection system.

At the end of the conference it will be possible to see the photographic exhibition “The cry of the earth”, introductory to the encyclical “Laudato si ‘di Papa Francesco, kindly granted by the Xaverian Missionaries of Ancona.

The convention, which participates in the Festival of Sustainable Development 2018, is sponsored by the ASVIS (Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development), by the Univpm Polytechnic University of the Marche and can be used for the recognition of training credits.
